Koldig Coat carries out sandblasting for commercial and industrial businesses from our facilities at the Port of Esbjerg. We prepare both small and large items for painting, metallising and other surface treatments.

Sandblasting in Esbjerg for commercial and industrial businesses

At Koldig Coat, we help businesses with sandblasting items that need to be cleaned, prepared or pre-treated before further processing. This can be, among other things, prior to industrial painting, metallisation or another form of surface treatment.

We work with tasks for industry, offshore, marine and other sectors where demands are made regarding execution, delivery time and documentation. Regardless of whether it is a question of smaller components or larger items, we adapt the treatment to the material and the subsequent process.

Sandblasting as pre-treatment

Sandblasting is often an essential first step when a surface needs the right adhesion and durability. The treatment can remove rust, mill scale, old paint and other coatings, leaving the workpiece ready for the next treatment.

At Koldig Coat, sandblasting is carried out in accordance with relevant standards such as ISO 8501, ISO 8502 and ISO 8503. This ensures a uniform process and a result that matches the requirements of the task.

We offer, among other things:

  • Sandblasting before industrial painting
  • Sandblasting before metalising
  • Glassblowing
  • Removal of rust, paint and mill scale
  • Preparation of steel, stainless steel items and aluminium
  • Treatment of both small and large items
  • Shot blasting to SA1, SA2, SA2.5 and SA3

Quality, documentation and the right abrasive

The correct grit blasting depends on both the material, the condition of the workpiece and the subsequent treatment. Therefore, we select the abrasive and method based on the specific task.

We are used to tasks where quality assurance and documentation are an important part of the process. Therefore, we closely monitor the work and ensure that the sandblasting is carried out correctly in relation to the subsequent surface treatment.

We offer fully valid documentation in accordance with Norsok M-501 or ISO 12944, assuring that the work is carried out to the highest standards. Everything is documented by our FROSIO Level III inspector.

Our grit-blasting hall is 7 by 28 metres wide, which allows us to handle large projects efficiently. If it is not possible to move the item to be grit-blasted to our hall, we also have a mobile sandblasting team, that can travel out to the location.

We ensure that we provide the necessary expertise and equipment for any project.
